- - - - hair, Brown
- - - - fashion sense,
Valmir likes reds and purples. His taste is fairly flawed as he owns many a billowy silk shirt. He sees one and his eyes light up. He usually pairs them with black pants or a nice dark jean. His shoes? Always buffed to perfection. A tiny scuff and he's depressed. On top of all of these lies whichever golden chain he picked out that morning. As he is not used to the hot weather, Valmir has yet to really buy any shorts. And the only pair he has is actually a pair of swimming trunks - ironic isn't it?

DETERMINED
Valmir was born into a world that only a handful of people are. He was raised by a family who - on both sides - had a long history of being traveling performers. Naturally this shaped who Valmir is. He loves the circus, and he always tries his best to entertain. At times. Even though he struggles with the English language, Valmir is still able to charm. Perhaps his lack of English helps him charm. Many a lady finds his constant stumbling over words quite adorable. It bothers him, to struggle, but he doesn't mind seeming 'cute'. Still, if he were able to chose, he'd pick proper English over cute any day. Valmir does not like to fail. He does not like to struggle. It makes him feel weak. It's not a feeling he likes. This is part of his dedication. If Valmir starts something, he has to finish it. No matter how meaningless you or someone else might find the task. His father gave him this trait. No, not with a belt. But over time, the training, the expectations, they all turned Valmir into a dedicated young man. Thankfully this determinism had yet to turn him into an asshole. Just a thorough young guy.
FAILS TO COMMUNICATE
Because Valmir doesn't know much outside the circus, and because he is in a foreign land he doesn't get around as well as the average person. While Las Vegas is showy and flashy, it's a lot different than his previous life. He traveled through Europe - mainly Eastern Europe and it hardly compares. To say that the young gentleman doesn't fit in would be an understatement. He keeps to himself because it's hard for him to get around. But when he does it is always a learning experience. Now, it's not impossible for Valmir to get his point across but it does take a while. Valmir is a fairly easy going guy, and a real gentleman. He opens doors for ladies, treats them well, and let's them yell if they need to. He doesn't however pick up on their issues with him if they are not making it crystal clear. 'That look', or the silent treatment will go right over his head. As will sarcasm.
FEAR OF THE UNKNOWN
Valmir has a few dislikes - and dislikes them to the extreme. He thinks doctors are usually liars. In fact, he says, "Doctors, they know nothing. I get sick as kid three times. My own fault but Mama she give me her magic potion, I get better. Doctors I do not need." He is afraid of large bodies of open water. So you can bet he's not a swimmer. Valmir isn't sure what he dislikes about the ocean, or swimming pools but he knows that whenever he's near them he feels like the end of the world is upon him. The same can be said for closed spaces. He's incredibly claustrophobic. Tight spaces, dark ones especially, feel "like death put you in his shadow". An otherwise sturdy man, those two things can send him running for the hills.
HYPNOTIST
Valmir is a hypnotist. While his act is hokey, and claims to be full of magic, there is no magic behind it. Valmir cannot explain this act in English - he cannot explain the science behind it, but he's informed. Sometimes he wishes it were magic that drove him and his talent. It'd certainly feel special. Nevertheless this was his act. He performed all over Europe; audience after audience being wowed. And sometimes, a little afraid. Hypnosis is his thing. He's well read and he knows how to amuse you with his talent. This makes it even harder now that he's not performing. In time he'll perform again, but for now Valmir keeps on waiting tables - and naturally having to repeat things many, many times.
EXTRAVAGANT TASTE YET SIMPLISTIC PERSONALITY
Valmir loves his colors. His wardrobe is full of reds and purples. He loves gaudy furnishings, the billowy the better. He cherishes a fine cigar, and will try any delicacy you shove his way, yet in the end Valmir is a rather simple man. He doesn't know a whole hell of a lot, and spends most of his time in his new home with a confused look upon his face. Then he goes to his 'place', flips on the television and tries to comprehend trash television. You'd think by the things he buys, the things he enjoys that he would be an eccentric man of twice his age but he isn't. He likes what he likes. Maybe it is do to his travels; the more you see, the more you can like. Or maybe his tastes just differ from the norm. Whatever the reason maybe, Valmir has outlandish tastes, not all of which are normal.
ORGANIZED
Valmir is organized in a material way, and in a more life related way. On the material side, the man has everything in a spot and if it gets out of that spot he quickly moves it back. "Keeps life good," he says of organization. He's always been meticulous when it comes to organizing. It stems from a moderate case of Obsessive Compulsive Disorder that's never been diagnosed. Valmir can get fairly perturbed if someone repeatedly offends his strategic placements. On the life side of things, Valmir has a plan. He wants to get back to the circus life eventually and have his own traveling circus. He wants to recruit many a talent and even start a new generation of performers. Would he be as tough as his parents? He wouldn't try to be, but it probably would happen. Valmir has many less major things planned out for himself but you can bet your hot ass they're planned out. And they are all in a notebook that you'll probably never see.

Durres, Albania - although he moved around most months out of the year.
- - - - family,
Ariana Dzaferi - mother
Ariana met her husband - Valmir's father - when they joined the same circus. She's always pushed her children to be as good as she feels she is. Valmir loves her dearly.
Behar Dzaferi - father
A strict and dedicated man, Behar has rarely paid attention to his children. They never minded much.
Endrita
Now married, Endrita is a trapeze performer with the other Dzaferis. Her husband is her long term trapeze partner whom they picked up in Munich. None one but Endrita likes him.
Ervin Dzaferi - older brother
The one whose stupidity lead Valmir to leave his family for the time being. He is and always has been a bastard.
Pjeter Dzaferi - younger brother
Pjeter has always hated being in the circus but it is all he knows. He's the classic black sheep.
Lorenc Dzaferi - uncle
Not all of Valmir's large family is worth mentioning, but Uncle Lorenc has always been an influence on Valmir - ever since he used to hurl the boy through the air.
- - - - pets,
A few saltwater fish - he buys more as he can afford them.
- - - - overall history,
EARLY DAYS
The second child out of four, Valmir was another position filled among the traveling Dzaferis. They were circus performers. Valmir's purpose wasn't decided until he was about thirteen, but that's later. As a child Valmir would do little tricks with his brother. Mostly relying on their cute smiles and desire for applause. Then on the side he would help pick up after every show. His older family members were the talent. He and his siblings just came out at the intervals. They had the energy to pick up after the others. Once Val's older brother got his own act - magic of course - Valmir had to pick up after him, a job he despised. Fortunately it wasn't long before his training started. Both Mr. and Mrs. Dzaferi had noticed Valmir's ability to put people at ease. They recognized his soothing demeanor and decided that hypnotism was for him. So they enlisted the help of an older hypnotist and the training began.
AWKWARD TEEN YEARS ON THE ROAD
The first few years of his shows were as rocky as they could be. At times he would pull off a flawless performance but it was rare. People didn't think a kid could hypnotize them and therefore they weren't as easy to lure into the state Val needed them in. Not to mention his appearance was changing, his voice. They didn't make for a smooth performance. Still girls would come up after the show - or female performers would pull him into a chat. Had you been watching, it would have been painful. Especially when they asked him to 'hypnotize them'. Usually a rather clueless boy, he certainly got their point. During these years was also the start of he and his brother's more pressing problems. Before it was bickering, brotherly fighting but as they got older they began to sincerely loathe one another.
VAL THE MAGNIFICENT
After the teen years passed - well once he reached eighteen, Valmir began to wow crowds. He'd have them on the edge of their seats. He'd have them believing that he had some gift sent to him from on high. And most importantly he had their attention. Entertaining them was a better rush than any drug could give him. This made his brother jealous - fueling the fire of their rivalry. As Valmir gained 'fans', his brother grew angry - violent even. It showed itself in arguments, fist fights, until one day when Valmir was approached by two girls (at the same time), and a supremely rich man looking to book the show on his land all because of Valmir's act. Ervin finally snapped, breaking Valmir's arm, nose, and in the end - his spirit. Valmir was tired of it. He needed a break from twenty-eight years of bullshit. So he took out an old map he had of America, a place he'd always wanted to go and picked out the place with the name he liked most. Las Vegas.
HERE AND NOW
For the past four months, Valmir has been residing in that same Las Vegas. He works as a waiter because it was all he was qualified to do. He'd never heard of hypnotherapy, or magic shows in which people like him were bringing in many a tourist. It's not as though he could be a hypnotherapist anyhow, his act was not what you'd call therapy. He had no degree, just circus training. Now Valmir goes day to day, not sure when he'll return to the life he knows but hoping he'll find something to fill the uncertain time.
