rome was once the capital of the world and while things have changed no other city comes close. rome has a glorious monumentality that it wears without reverence. its architectural heirlooms are buzzed around by car and vespa as if they were no more than traffic islands. the city bombards you with images; elderly women chatting, priests smoking cigars, traffic jams, and plate loads of pasta. in rome you can truly live a glamorous life butsome only pretend, but the truly glamorous know exactly how to live life - endlessly pleasurable nights and days spent accumulating vicious secrets. while many come here to spend their summers, the only ones who truly know the city's secrets are those who remain here year round. the peaceful community of rome isn't all too quiet, though, and misplaced trust could land you in much, much deeper than you bargained for. here in rome, you only know you've truly established yourself when you hear your name escaping everyone's lips. remember, be careful what you wish for, because you just might get it.
