The year is 2009 and it's been over thirty years since the deadly Ebola outbreaks ended. This airborne virus is not easily cured, and with rumors going around about using it as a biological weapon, the government enlists a group of scientists to find a cure for the disease. They also are looking for a cure if the virus mutates or is combined with another one. Somehow, for a reason known only to the culprit who tried to steal a vial from the laboratory, it ended up in boxes that were shipped out. The first city to get hit hard is New Orleans, Louisiana, and those who are found to be infected are put under quarantine at St. Joseph Hospital. Those not infected are being transferred out of the hospital. This mutation of an already deadly virus has everyone on their toes. No one knows how it got out, but the CDC is looking for the culprit(s). The lives of millions are on the line and one hospital knows that it has to do what ever it can to keep it contained within New Orleans, Louisiana while scientists are rapidly working to find a cure. Now, some cases are starting to pop up in other areas of the country, and it's causing fear as some are assuming it's a terrorist attack. How many lives need to be lost before we decide to Open Our Eyes to reality?
